I know, I know, it's not the 90's anymore (or whatever) but I feel that board games can still be fun, if you choose the kind you can play often and is engaging. I found one called Dystopian Wars that is basically a steampunk war strategy game. Only downside is you have to be a billionaire to afford all the pieces. There's another called Zombies where you're in a party of survivors and have to make it to a heli pad. Do you guys know any board games I could try out? I really love ones with little figurines, they're really fun

Shh admin will hear you guys. I think he likes Cthulhu too much...
But seriously though, I like fun board games. What games are you talking about, Youles? And I looked up Dystopian Wars. It looks like an awesome game, even the backstory is great. The only problem is a single warship costs $20 or more...

Diplomacy. I hear it takes forever and ruins friendships. It just sounds so interesting...

In France it's called 'Horreur à Arkham'... After a tiny Google it's 'Arkham Horror'

I'm really interested in board games, seeing as how complicated ones with lots of features are right up my alley. I love Zombies, my librarian had it and I used to check it out all the time Do you guys have really good games that are cheap? I'm hosting a weekly board game night in my house, and it'll be nice to have awesome games to keep on playing.

Di-plo-ma-cy. You want complicated? It's complicated. You want cheap? It's probably not that expensive.

I'm thinking of getting these: -Zombies! -Munchkin -Dungeons and Dragons -anything with Cthulhu in it -Behemoths (its a steampunk war-zeppelin strategy game. I'm hoping its cheap)

Risk. I know, I know, I'm soooo original. Shut up. But yes, if you didn't know it uses figurines too.

Ok, so apparently it's not called Behemoths, it's called Leviathans. And it's $60, so I'm probably not getting that anytime soon.
The best value games with the best outlook are Munchkin and Zombies. Dungeons and Dragons is $16, but apparently there are more expansions and you need to buy them to continue? Anyways, I think I'll just spend around $40-$50 and leave it at that.
I've played Risk, it's a favorite game of mine. The only issue I have is when somebody turns in a set of cards and gets something ridiculous, like 60 troops or something. If I had more money, I'd get that too. Game Night is weekly and I don't want to have the players using only one game...

What is the Cthulhu Mythos? When I looked up Arkham Horror it said it helped to know about that...
Do anyways, munchkin and risk are great games. One is silly and fast paced, and the other is deeply strategic and it's always satisfying to crush an insolent country.

I know a site that's sort of like Risk. But there is a lot less fighting, and land positioning doesn't matter.
