So I found this new game console called the Ouya. It's this little cube that plays homebrewed games and isn't that expensive- $100 a pop, you could get it cheaper in amazon, and the best features are the ones you make yourself. That's right, This baby is meant to be hackable. It was designed so its casing is undone easily with a screwdriver for hard-modding, it runs on Android OS for rooting purposes, and most of the games on its store are made by indie devs.
Anyone interested in trying it out? Might make for a cool multiplayer experience if a bunch of us got it

I'd really like to buy it, I'm afraid to have nothing to do with (as I have a Galaxy S3 on Tizen OS ><). If you have some arguments to convince me, I'm in

I'll have to look up the games for it. I heard you can use your smartphone as a controller? I know you're a game dev, and we have that other guy from the glorious projects section. If either of you could make a game for it, that would be amazeballs

You had me at hackable. This means we can port mobile phone games that look great on the android (the gangstar series, asphalt) and make them even better through mods and widescreen tv. Developing for this doesn't sound bad, Mizu and I were thinking about making games and this sounds like a good place to start.

Most people who bought it sorta regret it. While the idea is nice, it isn't exactly a huge market. You're better off making something in Unity and porting it to every platform that way.

Which means it supports the Ouya as well.

Do you guys think that porting IWBTG on Ouya or other microconsoles is doable? The game is hard, but its fun. The dev isnt working on it right now and a job offer could be interesting for him

Hey hey that's actually a pretty cool idea! I'm going to talk to the dev- see if he's interested.
Anyone know how to port it, though?
