You can already activate the 'OS' by clicking on the big picture button up right corner of Steam, it's an interface made for the console, as I recommand you to test it with an xbox gamepad, the chat interface is really great too The Steam gamepad seems weird (no joystick) but I still curious

That would be cool if they made a console But I just realized you can play on a PC with controllers; what benefits will a console bring?

Have your Steam games, community and free online games (without Gold account or something) on your TV. (They will surely highlight local multiplayer games as a real console)

I haven't seen price yet, finally its a sort of computer with Steam Big Picture as OS and new gamepads, the problem with this is like Ouya, games continue to evolve and the console component not so, it shall be quickly obsolete I'm afraid :/

Yeah, it seems PC gaming is just the best way to go. If you can plug a controller in it, you're set.

So wait, there are USB multipliers, right? Like, say I have only one port, I hook up one and now I have three free to plug in more controllers

Yup. They might not work as well, though. Luckily my computer has like 6 or 8 USB ports! And I can connect the PS3 controllers through Bluetooth.

Most PCs come with a crazy amount of USB ports nowadays. Usually 2 in the front and 2-8 in the back.
