I've read all of the books and I have come to the conclusion that Martin enjoys our suffering. He ended the last book with a total twist, and now we have to wait on him to finish up so we can find out what happened to Jon Snow, who apparently continues knowing nothing...

Well, since its obvious by now that we'll be spoiling stuff, do you think Jon is dead? I mean, he was stabbed a la Caesar, and probably bled out. The fact that he's in a hostile environment with freezing weather doesn't help. Either he's dead, or Martin will pull some BS to make him live, like magic, or spiritual transference or whatever.
I want him to live, though. Martin is a jerk for doing this, but then you have to step back and wonder at his skill; he's making me feel this much about a couple words on a page.

Yeah I think Jon Snow's a goner. He was stabbed what, five times? And three of those were in his back. There's no way he's alive

I don't understand why Martin would kill someone so important to the story. I know Rob and Eddard were important, but they didn't hurt as much as this. Out of all the killings and murder and war I only wanted two characters to definitely make it out alive, and those are Jon and Tyrion. That scene where they talk in the beginning of GoT is too good, I thought they would see each other again....

Well, Martin said it in an interview that it was a testament to an authors skill when a character was killed off and it hurt the community. Either he's showing off by killing Jon because it demonstrates how good a writer he is, or that was him calling to attention that Jon had changed too much and deserved to die.
I dunno, I just hope he lives, even if he has to be bedridden or something.

But wouldn't it be better for him to die, if we hypothetically asked him? I mean, I think Ygritte was the love of his life (the only one hyuk hyuk) so her death must have left him empty and unfeeling afterwards; just a shell of the man he was.
But you're right, it'd prefer for him to live.
I swear to the gods, if Martin kills Tyrion I'm going to do very bad things to him.

Tyrion has gone through too much crap to die. Even though he's the Halfman, he's more of a man than any of the male characters in the series

oh god, that was glorious
I agree, he's gone through a lot. I actually prefer him over Jon. He's funny, knows how to fight better, and his comebacks (both verbal and in situations) are just so well executed.

Are they coming out with a new season? I have no idea what's going on anymore, I'm having mini-nervous breakdowns just waiting for the next book

Are they coming out with a new season? I have no idea what's going on anymore, I'm having mini-nervous breakdowns just waiting for the next book "Analyses of Martin's writing pace expect the release date sometime between 2015 and 2017." Apparently this git pretends to make us wait a few years for his books.... I'll be like, a decade older by the time he finishes the entire series, man...
