Hi ! I need some help for a word and made a Thread for all translation/synonym/grammar things !
I'm looking for a word, in French it's "Profondeur". I know for water (as sea) it's "Deep" but there is a synonym for Landscapes
I explain : "Deep" is how much meters (inch) theres from 0 to the sea bed. I want the word saying the distance between me and something I see...
I don't know if I'm clear.
To help : What's the difference between "Deep" and "Depth" is one more appropriate to define what I want ? Have I just to use "Distance" ?

PS : It's to define a variable name in my Troimo framework who'll get a number to make appropriate parallax

The distance between you and something you see would be "far" or "away". If you're using it as a variable name, you could put howFar or something like that.
If you want to know the difference between deep and depth, it's a little confusing. I think they're both the same word, but they're just used in different ways. Like, you can say how "deep" something is, and that it has "depth".
