I felt that the show had a lot of potential and just deflated. In Japan there are classes of manga- battle manga, gag manga, niche manga, etc. This started out like a wonderful little niche manga that was story driven- titans kill off humanity until they hole themselves up. They could have made the humans somehow use their minds and strategy (Armin, Jean) to beat the titans. What happened? Eren became a Titan and now it's as if the weakest kid in the playground suddenly grew an ICBM instead of a hand. Sigh... It had potential. If you don't like the fact that Eren is a titan, it only gets worse. Oh so much worse. And apparently the manga has the government ridiculously corrupted or something like that.

So does anyone mind explaining how the colossal Titan shrinks and sneaks back to base? Also, why?? Why is he against humanity? He's not just a murderer, he's trying to exterminate his own species. Wtf?

Wtf? If you start questioning anime, you're gonna ruin it all. just tell the poor doctor lol I'm curious as well. You're given a near immortal body with no maintenance to worry about (no hunger, thirst, tiredness) and what do you do? Herp derp time to kill all of humanity

I thought that it was very unnecessary. Why sacrifice a whole team of capable soldiers to protect a dude that is essentially immortal? And if you're going to have titans chase them, place tripwires and have people slash their necks when they fall. The military leaders in Attack on Titan are surprisingly bad at strategy...
