So Rollercoaster Tycoon is hands down the best game I've played as a kid. It was a great sim, giving you complete control from the rides to their paint jobs, to even if your handymen should mow the lawn or not. I thoroughly enjoyed making great theme parks and I even planned out a gigantic amusement park in Arid Heights- it had 7 sections and over 60 rides.
Anyone love this game like I do?

I haven't played it but it looks Theme Park World I used to play on PS1 who was REALLY COOL ! But I remember as child I really wanted Rollercoaster Tycoon  |

Yeah, it's very well made. I don't think I've unlocked all the attractions yet, and I've been playing this game for years!
There's just something amazing about making a theme park the way you want it and making people happy.

The first game in that series was one of the first, if not the first video games I ever played. I loved that thing. I actually have the second one now (not the third... I'm cheapskate) and still play it ever so often to this day... however, my love of that game as a kid quickly gave rise to my liking of RTSs, with my favourite being Age of Empires II. That game is boss. I love it. Too bad the devs of it shut down in 2010  |

I just love the complexity it gives you. Even concrete dinosaurs give you so much happiness and choices you're ecstatic to use them. I'm still trying to build that perfect Arid Heights park to this day. It's going to be huge  Oh, and I have Rollercoaster Tycoon 3, the platinum edition. Apparently you can make pools and water rides and animal enclosures in your park? I thought it was pretty cool, but the interface scared me. I'll figure it out later, 1 is too much fun. |

Age of Empire II was my first full geeky experience ! It was really unbelievable for its time !

I have Age of Empires 1 and 2. I suck at 1 because no matter what I spawn, my enemies always have more. And I haven't played 2 much
1 is a very fun game, though. I once destroyed Hannibal Barca, it was very satisfying.

I have both Age of Empires 1 and Rollercoaster Tycoon 1. They're a perfect example of what game should always aspire to be. They weren't made with the best engines or the best graphics, but they're beautiful in their own way, complex, and very very fun. I love those games |

I played the heck out of RCT when I was a kid. I have RCT1 and RCT3. RCT3 was actually the first game I modded.

Hey, I own 3 as well. I have the platinum edition, which apparently lets you build giant pools and have a zoo in your park. It's pretty fun, I love the series.

Anybody drown any of the annoying little guests like I did? I thought that was a really cool thing to do- pick up random dudes and set them down a few miles from a populated area, and watch as they hoof it back lol

But back on topic, I used to have Age Of Empires 1 to 3 and I had one of the Zoo Tycoons and 2 expansions (Dinosaurs and Sea Creatures) and they were all fun. Sadly, I lost them a long time ago. Now all I have is Spore, and it doesn't hold up well. |
