Intro:
This thread is for posting about CGN's you want to host. Make sure to give the members a way to contact you and access the game, otherwise you won't get many players. Post the game you are hosting, how many players you want (or the limit), when the CGN will be hosted, and if you live outside the US (for timezone purposes)
History:
Community Game Night, commonly referred to as CGN, started on July 31, 2014 as a way for forum members to hang-out, bond, and have fun. The idea for CGN came from a similar concept on HaloFollower Forums, and a thread created by drflourescent suggesting that some forum members play Yu-Gi-Oh online together.
Since then, CGN has gained a few members, got its own sub-board, and prospered.
Community Game Night International:
Due to different timezones, some members won't be able to join in on the fun of CGN.
This is obviously horrible (as everyone should get to enjoy CGN), so I created CGNI, or Community Game Night International.
How this will work: Members who live in other countries can get together at a different time. And if they want to play with the American members, then the American members can meet up with them at different times.
Some ideas for games right now are:
-Board games (any), available through the VASSAL engine, found here: www.vassalengine.org/
-Dungeons and Dragons/Pathfinder, available through Skype and roll20: roll20.net/
-Minecraft (see the MC thread): littlebandit.boards.net/thread/82/official-minecraft-thread
-Cards Against Humanity: pyx-1.socialgamer.net/game.jsp
