H A L O
That's right, Halo. We love it, we follow it. Some would say Halo is Life. Halo is Love.
I saw Doc Fluorescent's thread for Fallout Discussions, and I thought "It would be cool if we had discussion threads for every major game!" So, here it is, a Halo thread dedicated to all things Halo. Story examinations, hype for The Master Chief Collection, recent developements, or lore!
I'm a little tired right now, so the next poster will have to get the thread going. Tomarrow I'll update this OP with all sorts of formatting.

I want to know if this game is good enough to warrant getting an Xbox. I also want Fusion Frenzy because I freaking loved that game, so I'm not getting the Xbox just for halo lol

Is Halo worth getting an Xbox? Y E S!!!!!! I sold my 360 Slim, headset, 3Ds, all of my games, and a few other things to get an Xbox One so I could get the Master Chief Collection. Now is one of the best times to start playing Halo. If you get an Xbox One, you can get Halo CE (1), Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 4, over 100 maps, a beta for Halo 5, and access to Halo: Nightfall (a live-action series released before Halo 5) for only $60. Value of Bundle: A little over $300 Features of The Master Chief Collection: Halo Comabt Evolved Anniversary Edition (Means they gave it better graphics on it's 10th birthday) Halo 2 Anniversary (First time there will be a H2 A) Halo 3 Halo 4 (Halo 3 & 4 are newer, so they won't be getting a graphical boost. They just get better FPS) All maps included with the above 4 games All DLC (!) maps released for above games All PC maps for Halo for the PC 6 new "Remastered" Halo 2 maps The original Halo CE multiplayer (this is a somewhat big deal) A key for the Halo 5 Beta (Goes from January to Feburary; about one month) A free download of Halo: Nightfall when it is released (It will be released in 5 episodes in the 5 weaks leading up to Halo 5) If you want to know anything else, you can google it

Getting an Xbone for Halo CE (including origanal multiplayer for the first time ever for Xbox), Halo 2A, Halo 3, Halo 4, Halo 5: Guardians Beta, and Halo: Nightfall is an amazing deal.

My only problem with Halo is that there's no aiming down your sights. For whatever reason, I don't really like when a game is all hipfire.

A good measure of the quality of Halo: When Microsoft is in a jam with console sales, they whip out Halo. Without Halo, the Xbox may not be a major console brand, and FPSes would be a WHOLE lot different. So would the entire Space-Marine genre.
Halo is definitely one of the top 5 game series.

Too bad I don't have the Xbox to play it on lol

My only problem with Halo is that there's no aiming down your sights. For whatever reason, I don't really like when a game is all hipfire. I like ironsights, but not big clunky ones that take up your screen and give you a little reticule surrounded by a thick ring of metal. Like in Fallout New Vegas, I hate the ironsights on the assault carbine and the cowboy repeater, but the marksman carbine and anti-materiel rifle are great. I might think about getting an Xbox, but I dunno about an Xbox one... I was thinking more along the lines of a 360 in order to play fusion frenzy 1 and 2, and Halo 1-3? (Or whatever the latest installment that can be run on it is)

(Or whatever the latest installment that can be run on it is) You sound like a PC gamer! I know you are, but it's easy to tell by how you talk. "Latest Installment" "Can be run on it" I know you have a Playstation, but on Xbox we don't use words like "Run" to describe starting the game. And when you say something like "can be run on it" it makes it sound like backwards-compatibility is common or that iterations of consoles/OSes come out frequently. Oh, but the last Halo the can be played on a 360 is Halo 4, which came out 2012. List of Halo Games you can play on a 360: Halo CE Halo 2 Halo 3 Halo 3: ODST Halo Reach Halo Wars Halo CE Anniversary Halo 4
