-- Nano --
Foreword:
The whole purpose behind me posting this idea, and even sharing it at all, is to make people feel something and think. That's the purpose behind any good work. I want people to cry when they see their favorite characters die, so that they can benefit from feeling loss. I want them to stare in awe when the music starts playing and a character does something astounding. I want them to feel proud when their side wins. I want them to feel the rush of energy when playing a fast game. And I want them to connect. Connect with each other, connect with the game, and maybe even connect with me. Learn about me through the stories I tell. Maybe walk away from the experience with a little more confidence, compassion, empathy, courage, morality, wisdom, hope, or energy. I guess it's my way of helping others. So, when you're reading this idea, remember that I poured a little of myself into this, and I did it to make people think and feel so they become better.

Appealing curves on second design. Both first and second design considered for aliens bio-infantry look.

Very heavy on "exposed" robotic elements. I like. Plus, desert camo!

Cool designs. I like the paint job on the middle and right-most ones.
And that's it for now, I'm stopping before I go insane. BTW, when I say stuff like "I like", I mean "If Nano is made, I will shove these pictures in the artist's faces every five seconds".

Plot Overview
Nano takes place in 2135, during a period of great technological, productional, medical, and peace advancements labelled as "The Golden Era". Conflict breaks out when a race of aliens reverse-engineer human nanotechnology and use it to copy our advancements and fight us. Little is known about them except that they adhere to a very vigorous set of combat and interrogation rules. Humanity is holding its own, thanks to remote warfare where operators control humanoid drones to fight. This allows for faster reactions, improved accuracy, and better resource management. The only problem with this is that the aliens have also copied our remote-warfare design, but use a mixed biological-robotic army due to more limited production methods.
So far, humanity has lost 27 of its 398 colonies, largely in part to the enemies resorting to drastic, last-resort methods of fighting (such as use of nuclear devices, detonation of crippled ships in atmosphere, orbital incendiary bombardment, and weapons of mass destruction). Humans are retaliating by approving more aggressive tactics, greater use of fully A.I. soldiers, and increased implementation of experimental technology.

Subsequent Games
Nano 2 (Working Title)
The first Nano game's plot focuses on the conflict and the brief history before it. It is geared to introduce players into the universe without creating a complicated or extensive plot. Nano 2 would explore the Human's side of the conflict, the losses, the increasingly desperate actions, and darker side of the military. It will try to get players more attached to the story and characters and immerse them in the universe.
Nano 3 (Working Title)
With both previous games built around introductions and the human side, the third, and probably last game, will cover the alien side and even deeper parts of the universe. Nano 3 is meant to get the player to identify a little with the aliens and understand them on a deeper level. It will also explore and completely immerse you in the universe built by the other two games. Nano (1) is about what's going on and interesting casual players. Nano 2 is about the details of the universe and is for fans of longer/ more extensive stories. Nano 3 is for dedicated players who want to know even more about the universe and characters. Nano 3 will really tie all of the game together by showing the ending, subtle parts of the war, and the events that lead up to the conflict.

Notes
--There is a lot of info I haven't included here because it's a LOT to type, and I just want some feedback on how the ideas/mechanics sound.
--If Nano were to ever be made, I would want it to change the genre a lot, like Titanfall was supposed to. That is why Nano includes a lot of unusual and unexplored ideas. A few of these ideas can even be seen in "Next-Gen" games coming out.
--If you don't like the title, "Nano", don't worry. That's mostly a WIP progress title to basically define what it is about. If you want to suggest ideas for names, I'd prefer they be more than one word so they stand out more. And if you're suggesting a name for the second or third game, please don't just have a title with "2" or "3" or some numerical gimmick.
--This is just an idea for a game I would develope if I had the resources of a large game developer. I currently have absolutely no plans to ever produce Nano.
--I've seen some reference art (made by other people) that fits my mental image of Nano or seems like it'd fit in the universe well. I'll post links to them every once in a while, but not too often. You can suggest concept art if you want, but make sure it almost perfectly fits what I'm describing.
--If the colors in the color section are off, forgive me, I'm color deficient (it messes up colors/shades/etc).
