Quite honestly I must say I fell in love with Death Note from the first chapter. There's something alluring about the whole death note concept, and the authors definitely presented it well. However, the best part isn't the part that draws you in- its the part that makes you stay. The story is so complex and beautifully written that I just can't compare it to anything else out there.
I specially loved the ending. I hated it at first, because who wants to see such a badass character die? But later it dawned on me that if Light had won.... He would have become the same monster he was trying to erase all along.
