I'm looking to vent about a random thing, so I'll just talk here.
I'm pissed. Severely. My ISP gave me a crappy router so they could cut costs. Now I have to deal with a slow connection and a host of other problems. And I can't change ISPs because I'm locked into a contract. And even if I did, all the ISPs I can choose from offer little to nothing for high prices.
I hate how the world works. We could be doing so much better as a species, but instead we insist on being as stupid as possible.
So, now that my rant is over, I'm going to go back to trying repeatedly download a file on Mediafire (which refuses to work because of my network or ISP) on a 20GB monthly limit.

I can't run a Minecraft server because the ports on my router won't open and/or won't stay open.

I can't run a Minecraft server because the ports on my router won't open and/or won't stay open. I can host, but only on 1 of my computers. My Gaming Desktop PC refuses to host a server, but my backup laptop can do it no problem.

Financial aid paid for this entire year of college Now I can find a job and roll in the money I'll be making (or, at least buying a bloody PC. I've been needing a good animating PC for a year now)

I really want a nice gaming computer, but with no job in sight, I can't get it. And, TBH, I don't any point in the future where I'll have enough money to justify dropping $200 on just a graphics card.

There's a lot of sales everywhere, I've just bought a clearly nice Lenovo laptop for 360€ (483 USD), should just antiquing (in french "chiner" doesn't necessarily mean looking for antiquity, I don't know if in English "antiquing" is the same in spite of 'antiq*' thing)

AMD makes some nice Intergrated Graphics. They can play probably 95% of games in 720p no problem. Much cheaper than getting a graphics card and you could always add one in the future.
