Exactly what the tithe says. They can be god games like Sim City or Civilization, or straightforward strategy like Total War.
Speaking of Total War, here is my list:
-Command and Conquer -Total War: Rome II -Total War: Shogun II -Civilization V
What strategy games do you guys like?

-XCOM: Enemy Unknown -Total War: Rome 2 - Fire Emblem (GBA)
I haven't tried Civ 5 yet, so I can't say how good it is. I thought you only had 4?

Disgaea Master Race. Japanese SRPGs are amazing.

Disgaea Master Race. Japanese SRPGs are amazing. I'm not familiar with that game. What is that? And admin, I recently got Civilization V. After getting beaten by ElSignor back in August I've gotten better and with Civ V military strategy is truly valued instead of just stacking.

Look it up, it's like Final Fantasy Tactics, if you've seen that.

I've seen Final Fantasy Duodecim. Does that count? And wait, there are good Japanese strategy games? I thought they were all half character development or something.

No, that doesn't count at all. That's a fighting game, nothing like any other JRPG. And Disgaea games are pretty awesome gameplay-wise, and hilarious story-wise.

I don't understand what disgaea is about. I heard something about demons, but then something about schoolchildren o.O

One does not simply understand Disgaea. You have to play it to see what it's about.

Also, is there going to be any weird stuff? PS2, PS3, PSP, & PSV. Start with the first game if you can, but they're like Final Fantasy where the stories are mostly independent. Do try to play them in order, though.

The Vita's a great system with a lack of games. Persona 4 Golden...
The first two games aren't on the PS3.
