Recently I played three indie platformer who are really great :
- Guacamelee
- Battleblock Theater (lot of humour)
-Risk of Rain (a bit hard)

Yeah, I've heard about Guacamelee. They say its pretty fun, and it's looks really humorous

I played Risk of Rain with a friend. VERY hard game, but still pretty interesting. I've heard great stuff about the other 2 games.

There's pretty much a bunch of aliens attacking you. You have to go find a portal and kill a boss to get to the next level. That's about it, from what I played... |

And get the GOTY edition, it expands things so much, it just makes the game even better

It's a platformer / shoot everything / rogue like where you begin all party at level 1 and get more and more experience and bad posterior stuff by killing tons of monsters with the global difficulty (from very easy to HAHAHAHAHA) growing as long as you play with a final boss. The story is about a spaceship who has crashed you have to get experience on killing stuff to retrieve it  |

Oh, and for another suggestion, there's Unturned. It's like DayZ mixed with Minecraft with a bit of Rust thrown in. It's pretty fun. It's only on Steam too, so no consoles.
