I haven't played them yet. Oh, and the AoP is F2P last time I checked.

Let's hope it works on pirated copies then. If not, I'll wait for it to go on sale. It goes on sale about 4 times a year, so I'll wait til then.

I already have Fallout 1, so I can tell you it works out beautifully (the game, not AoP) The only bad thing is that it can be beaten in a few days if you know what perks to get. There are some that sound bad, but are definitely the best when you use them. My build right now is a sharpshooter with a plasma rifle- I can shoot five times per turn and all my shots are critical hits.

Oh, Bob. Apparently we don't need Fallout 2 to play this. You want to try it out? The devs released a game file within the download files so you don't need Fallout 2.

So I have a couple things for you guys... The first of which is problems. FOnline apparently needs a MASTER.dat and CRITTERS.dat files that you can only get from Fallout 2. What did I do? Well, after despairing for a bit, I found out that there have been various Fallout Online games in the past, and they have all used these files. Some guy decided two files were annoying, and so created (or found, whatever) the fallout.dat file that can be run in place of the other two. I found a fallout.dat file in a previous FOnline project, and I took it and installed it in the game. Apparently you need to mess with Notepad and fiddle around with a .cfg file or something. Anyways, I'm not going to make you do that. It's dumb, time consuming, and it can be pretty confusing to someone that knows nothing about this.
I'm going to make a dropbox for this and upload the entire game file tomorrow so you can all download it from the source, already updated and programmed to work. I'll edit this post once I upload it. Hope to see you guys soon!

Niiiice. I had no idea this game even existed until I saw your post. Are we making a Little Bandit alliance/team/guild? It would be great because we already have a meeting place, we can all just wait for admin to upload the game, download it, and start it up.
Hey, admin. Do you know what weapons they have here? I'm hoping for an anti-materiel rifle... That thing is like a sniper rifle on steroids.

First, which of the 4 major factions are we gonna join? I went for V-tech, I think they have the best philosophies. And no, I do not think there is an Anti-material Rifle in this game.

Uh, I haven't checked. I was thinking we should make our own alliance. Or are the factions separate from player alliances? Anyways, is the game working for you? I"m going to upload a working version of the game soon, so nobody has to go search for that pesky fallout.dat file I had so much trouble finding.

Yeah, I own all the fallout games (Even Tactics) and it was easy for me. In the start you have to choose one of 4 factions that you work with, and you are semi-forced to work with them because of how the chat and mechanics work. But you can leave the factions and/or make your own little group that can do stuff, mind you not as MAJOR stuff, but stuff.

Hmm, alright. I'll get on later when I've finished my work. Right now I'm uploading the game files for the other people that don't have Fallout 2.

Thanks Urban. I was messing around with it for like an hour and a half to get it to work and ended up messing up and making a bunch of different copies of it and had 8 GB taken up by it. Anyways, I'll use your files.

Anyways, I'll use your files. yeah, it can get pretty confusing I know some guy in funnyjunk that couldn't even open the files. They're uploading right now, but since I didn't compress it, it will take a few hours for you guys to download it. I didn't compress it because it might cause problems or unforeseen stuff with the files, I dunno. If they're not done today, I'll post the link tomorrow.

Here is the link to the complete game. Just download the AoP-client folder and you'll have the correct game settings to play FOnline. If you guys find any problems with the screen size, read the readme file inside the AoP-client folder. www.dropbox.com/sh/juk4lskjx9mzytp/AAAaObO_gBKhgt-cXkizGq6ma?dl=0Word of warning: It might take a long time to download, so be ready to keep your PC on for a while.
