XCOM: Enemy Unknown. It's made by the same guys that made Civilization. It's a turn based squad strategy game about aliens invading the world. You're in control of an international agency that is humanity's last stand against the aliens, and you basically have to repel all the attacks.
It's really difficult and it's really infuriating sometimes, but it's very rewarding as well. And if you don't like the difficulty, play on easy. The game is done very well and I've played it twice already.

Team Fortress 2, or PlanetSide2.
I'm sure you guys know what TF2 is. You should get it. It's fun.
PlanetSide needs a really good computer to run on, but if you've got a good computer it's a must have.

A serie that I recommand is Metroid.
Actually every game of it is at least good towards excellent.
It's the counterpart of Halo.

You can get all 12 games for only $10, or the main games for $2

That's a lot of Half Life games... is it really that good to warrant so many spinoffs?
